Viñedo Centenario is made from grapes from old vineyards that were planted more than 100 years ago at the Fundo San Carlos de Cunaco in the heart of the Colchagua Valley. This is a wine that speaks of our history, origins, and tradition in Colchagua.

Tasting Notes
With an intense ruby-red color, the wine’s nose shows notes of wild red and blue berries such as red currant and ripe blueberry, followed by a subtle aroma of orange peel. The palate shows a fresh wine with big personality, firm and elegant tannins that lend structure and a sensation of unctuosity to the mid palate, all leading to an intense, persistent finish.

Deep cherry red with a violet hue. The complex nose offers aromas of red fruits, black currant, berries, cherries, blueberries, and plums with subtle notes of toast and blonde tobacco that meld with the fruit. The palate is ripe, complex, and very well structured with round tannins and fresh acidity and ends with an elegant, well-balanced, and mineral finish.

Punta del Viento is the name of the hill where the vineyards that give rise to this wine are planted. Breezes from the Pacific Ocean reach and cool these vineyards, especially in the afternoon.

This assemblage wine is marked by the innovation on varieties which have good future in Colchagua; Grenache, Mourvedre y Syrah.

A blend of Mediterranean varieties that have adapted very well to the climate and soils in Colchagua. 100% of the grapes come from the El Olivar Vineyard. The blend is based on Grenache, which contributes fruit, perfume, and aromatic intensity along with a silky palate and tremendous acidity; Mourvèdre, which lends the central structure and aromatic complexity; and Syrah, which helps bring the other two varieties together while enriching the palate with a bit of sweetness and minerality.

A refreshing wine with tremendous personality and a versatility that makes it perfect served slightly chilled (16ºC) with game birds, rabbit stew, or pork tenderloin.

ViBo was created by the third generation, the Viu Bottini family,as they continue to follow the path of making the best malbec in the world.

ViBo is sourced from selected vineyards located in La Consulta viticultural area, located in the Uco Valley (1.200 mts from the sea level), where the terrior is characterize for its sandy soil, lower temperatures and promximity to the Andes mountains.

 

Deep dark purple in color and character, intensity, elegance, and complexity on the nose along with the Uco Valley’s classic ripe black cherry, blueberry and blackberry, notes. Concentrated on the palate with firm but elegant, well-rounded tannins combined with a vibrant acidity and lushness. Its tremendous structure and balance give way to a complex, persistent finish. Excellent with juicy New York strip loin, lamb chops or venison. Best served at 17º–18ºC (63º–64ºF) after decanting for 30 to 60 minutes.

ViBo 2007 shows intensely purple in color with a nose that exhibits classic Uco Valley aromas of ripe cherry, raspberry, and a touch of cinnamon. The palate shows blueberry jam and roasted coffee bean combined with elegant and well-structured tannins that lead to a complex, persistent finish.

Deep purple with bluish highlights. The nose has different aromatic layers, highlighting the notes of red and black fruits such as cherries, wild blackberries and blueberries, typical of the Uco Valley. The palate is complex, voluptuous, wide, deep and vibrant wine.
Serve at a temperature between 17o to 18oC, previously decanting for 30 to 60 minutes.
