Viu Manent

Single Vineyard – Carménère – Loma Blanca

October 2019

Vineyard
El Olivar, located near Peralillo, in the Colchagua Valley. The vineyards average 18 years of age.

Tasting Notes
With a deep purple color, the wine’s nose shows the typical varietal character of Carménère, with notes of berries and blueberry mixed with aromas of damp earth and black pepper. The palate is elegant and velvety with good structure and firm, silky tannins that add texture and balance, and lead to a long, pleasing finish.

Food pairing
Recommended with meat dishes like venison or pork tenderloin served with slightly sweet accompaniments like sweet potatoes or apple sauce. Also great with stews like Chilean charquicán or corn pie. Service temperature of 16–18ºC, ideally decanted prior to serving. Aging potential of 8–9 years.
