NEW VIU MANENT TINY TRIALS WINES
January 2022Our “Tiny Trials” are the result of Viu Manent’s enthusiasm for innovating, exploring the most unique and radical spots, with soils and climatic influences that define the style of the wine.
This, together with small batches, careful vinifications, focuses on highlighting the grape variety and the pronounced influence of the origin, allowing us to produce these pure wines of outstanding character.
CHARDONNAY “Blanco de Mar”
Origin: Ucuquer – Colchagua Costa.
In the heart of the Coastal Mountain range, no more than 15km from the Pacific Ocean, growing in deep, rocky ravines on the southern bank of the Rapel River and bursting from this rugged landscape, are young Chardonnay vines. The granite soils known for their maicillo and red clay, together with a pronounced influence from the sea, create the unique style.
Ranked with 93 points in Descorchados Wine Guide 2022, and was awarded as BEST LITUECHE WINE.
CINSAULT “Tinto de Mar”
Origin: Guarilihue – Valle del Itata.
In the heart of the Coastal Mountain range, no more than 20km from the Pacific Ocean, this small corner has been stuck in time, among forests and ravines, and you can find old, twisted Cinsault vines that have adapted to the sandy granite soils, with just a bit of clay and lots of quartz, influenced by the closeness of the sea.
