Tasting Notes & Food Pairing
Bright and intense cherry red in color, the complexity of this wine appears on the nose with notes of plums, wildflowers, and violets along with an undeniably complex aroma of leather. Delicious and full of character on the palate with that friendly nature some great Malbecs have and a long finish and tremendous aging potential for its price. Ideal with grilled red meats such as beef or lamb. Best decanted and served at 16º–18ºC.
The grapes for this wine come from the best sectors of Blocks Nº 5 and 6 of Malbec at the San Carlos Estate near Cunaco in the heart of the Colchagua Valley. The vineyard was planted more than 100 years ago.
