It’s perfumed, complex and fresh in the nose, with floral notes such as violet, red and blue berries and subtle aromas of orange peel, together with sweet spices and graphite. On the palate it has great character and structure, but being soft and elegant at the same time. It shows itself alive with lots of energy and freshness alongside with a superb aging potential.

Tasting Notes

Intensely violet in colour, on the nose sumptuous notes of black cherry, plum and bramble are backed up by just a hint of nutmeg and leather. In the mouth blueberry and coconut give way to big yet round tannins which are backed up by abundant mineral notes and a well balanced acidity. All of these factors combine to give an elegant, lush finish.

Voluptuous tannins combine effortlessly with a balanced acidity and abundant mineral notes leading to an elegant, layered finish.

So intensely violet in colour that it appears opaque, this wine delivers an opulent nose redolent of black cherry and cassis with a trailing edge of sweet mocha. In the mouth sumptuous bitter chocolate notes prevail over layers of blackcurrant, leather, truffle and wild porcini mushroom. Tannins are big, soft and rich leading to a long and elegant finish.

Deep ruby red in color with purple nuances, typical of the variety. The intense aromas recall damp underbrush, hazelnuts, truffles, and blackcurrant. Massive, muscular, and dense on the palate with good body and dark chocolate notes.
